I’m creating a website for a community soccer team using Microsoft Publisher but now i don’t know how to insert a search button in order for visitor to search for players.

install goole search to make it easier for yourself and at the same time it helps you rank your website higher at google because unless google crawler visits your website how will it be able to index the search results of your website!

I love making lists and ranking things from best to worst (ex: top 10 Disney movies, 10 best bands ever, etc.) and was wondering if anyone knows of a website that allows you to do this. I’ve looked and haven’t found one yet but I find it hard to believe that there’s not something like this out there so am I missing something? I know there’s “rankable” for twitter but that’s not really what I’m looking for. Any ideas or suggestions where to look? Thanks!

If you submit your site to google (www.yoursite.com), then google sends one of its robots to browse your whole site (not only the main page), indexing the contents, then after some weeks your site & contents will show in Google, and start to be browsed regularly for updates.
A tip: Be sure all the web pages you want to appear in Google can be reached by clicking links starting from your homepage.
Google features several ways to improve your ranking like adwords ($ ), but also honors the uniqueness of your content & how popular your site is. Blog about your site, do some link exchange, go local.

With easy design tools that mean I can create a nice looking website that won’t cost me much for a domain, I prefer online builders instead of designers because I am in full control.
I have used Yola to create some free websites before and I quite like it, but does anybody have any experience with using their paid packages?

I would recommend hiring a web designer ask yourself is control better than results? Show me a successful website that was build from a website creation tool and I’ll agree with you. I’ve said this thousands of times but web development is a profession people go to college for and have years of experience in so they can build and develop websites that produce results. Yahoo answers, Facebook almost any site you can think of was not build with a website builder.
