How do I know how many visitors I have got on my website?
Question by hulkhogan1200: How do I know how many visitors I have got on my website?
I see on some websites, that they have a little box saying something like…… “12 members online currently & 16 visitors”.
How can i add this feature to my site.
ie, what is the html code. i dont care so much about the number of members online right now…it is just the visitors part as my site is not membership based.
Oh also, I know about webcounters. It is not this i require as I already have one.
Thanks!

code like visitors online requires a database and most commonly uses PHP – do you have these features…?
If not, some web hosts provide website statistics if you have a free webhoster chances are you wont get this feature but to check if you do:
>goto yoursite.com/webstat
>goto yoursite.com/cpanel
If either of those work then you should be fine! if not you may not have these statistics available

How deep Google crawlers can go in my website?
Question by thee
: How deep Google crawlers can go in my website?
I have a blog and a newly created website, and I’m planning to place a few affiliate ads on the website. My blog has a lot of traffic, and I have created a link to my website on my blog. I have heard that placing affiliate links can affect the page rankings. I do not want to lose the unique traffic I’m getting for my blog. If I add affiliate links to the website, will it affect my blog too?

You can multiply traffic by exchanging links, back link plant or comment on another blog by pasting a link blog.

Q&A: How to redirect different browsers to different pages on a website?
Question by ictl: How to redirect different browsers to different pages on a website?
Ok say for example Firefox and Internet explorer both try and view my homepage on my website. Is there a code of some sort so that ONLY Internet Explorer gets redirected to another page, not Firefox?
or to display something different?
and I’m not running a comercial website; I’m running a personal one, so SE rankning doesn’t really matter to me.
Ok i found it out here:- http://javascriptkit.com/script/cut5.shtml
but I’ll give you 10 points tommorrow anyway.

Sounds like you’re running a commercial web site. You should be aware that redirecting visitors is frowned on by the search engines. If your S.E. ranking is important to you, there are better ways that don’t skirt the edges of allowed behaviors
