Q&A: How can i get more traffic on my online store? please help?

Question by : How can i get more traffic on my online store? please help?
Hi everyone i was wondering if you can give me some advise in how i can get more traffic on my website. I opened in february 2012 an online baby and children’s boutique www.petitjoujou.ca we super cute products and awesome prices. Not charging taxes now and also offer free pick up for customers that are close by to save on shipping. I am working reallyhard to get the website better and also with more amazing organic/ all natural products. But i am having a hard time with traffic. I still didn’t do any advertising yet but it is for sure something i want to do to bring more traffic and sales in. Do you have any advise for me and how can i improve my website and what is not so good in it that i need to change???
Thank you so much

You DO have to advertise and have gimmicks. Present it like a show. Music, freebies, costumes, something. You need to compete with other showmen to get people’s attention. May have to hire someone if you are not so inclined.

What is the real best way to drive traffic to an ecommerce store (online clothing boutique)?

Question by Quizmo: What is the real best way to drive traffic to an ecommerce store (online clothing boutique)?

Best answer:

Answer by sw_mn_techguy
1) Get your site listed on Yahoo, Google and other major search engines
2) Buy advertisements on other pages
3) Work a deal with other small shops (doesn’t even have to be clothing). You have a small ad on your page if they have your small add on their page

There really isn’t a whole lot you can do. Just try to get your name out as much as possible

How can I get more traffic to an online affiliate store?

Question by ihelp: How can I get more traffic to an online affiliate store?
Placing their banners and ads around doesn’t seem to do the trick. So what’s the next best solution to driving people to a page that is virtually uncustomizable (ie. meta tags and the like) besides making my own web site with links to my stores?

Best answer:

Answer by JazzMoney
Post the link in a forum or blog where the topic is directly related to what you’re trying to drive traffic to.

So if I wanted to drive traffic to http://www.feelfoxy.com I would find a plastic surgery forum that might have an article about getting a butt lift, and mention that they can find a butt bra that is safe, cheap, and an effective alternative to having surgery.
See, I just did it…
