I’ve added link tags to my email campaigns and have noticed a drop in the number of direct visits I get to my website. Are they related?

Well, indexed in Google, Yahoo, Msn, is the first step. Then get some people to link to the new domains.

If you have deep pockets you can buy some advertising on other sites.

You can register to some free reciprocal links program or buy some small and cheap ads spaces on websites with good PR (in most of the cases not free).

http://www.mondaix.com/advertise.php

Q&A: How do I link to an HTML form and auto fill in a field?

Question by Smile Like U Mean It: How do I link to an HTML form and auto fill in a field?
I have an HTML form on my website that visitors can contact me from. I’d like to know what link they use to contact me. Can I made each link have a unique ID that automatically gets filled into the form? I’m using a simple HTML form with a CGI script.

You can use $ ENV{‘HTTP_REFERER’} in perl to get the URL of the current page.

Q&A: How do you make a link that sends your website visitors to their previous page?

Question by Zhacarias: How do you make a link that sends your website visitors to their previous page?
I want to make a link that can send my website visitors to the page they were on before. For instance, I’m on a page recommended by a friend. I want to go back (but apparently too lazy to use the browser button) to the page I was on before.
Is there a way to do this?

When making the link just make the text as “go back” but the a href = (website address). I haven’t done HTML in like a year and don’t want to look up the exact tags for links but that’s how you would do it.
