Well, usually depends on what type of hosting solution you have. If the host is ran on a unix/linux box, you will often find MySQL installed. If it is a windows solution, you usually find MS SQL Server.
Here are some advantages of both…
1) MySQL is usually very fast database because it is strongly based on an index lookup type of structure.
2) Works great with languages like PHP which I highly recommend you use for a website.
3) Very memory efficient and takes less space to run on a server (usually).
MS SQL Server
1) Integrates well with other Microsoft products. If you have an all microsoft hosting solution going, you will probably want SQL Server.
2) It allows the use of Stored Procedures which allows you to execute groups of commands on the server independent of user activity.
3) Some of the later versions also offer great reporting utilities and statistics.
But this is all usually dependent on what you are running for an Operating system on the host. PHP and MySQL are great for unix/linux systems and ASP/MS SQL Server is good for windows environments.
Even though you will find people on here leaning one way or the other, it all really depends on what you are looking for out of your website. Generally unix/linux is more stable but a bit harder for newbies to use and windows uses a lot of resources and less stable, but easier for newbies to use and understand.
I hope I have made things a bit more clear for you.

Web programming is writing code such as HTML, PHP, Django, etc. Web designing, on the other hand, is figuring out what the site looks like, for example, making a mockup of it in Photoshop.

Encryption means :
encryption is the process of transforming information (referred to as plaintext) using an algorithm (called cipher) to make it unreadable to anyone except those possessing special knowledge, usually referred to as a key. The result of the process is encrypted information (in cryptography, referred to as ciphertext). In many contexts, the word encryption also implicitly refers to the reverse process, decryption (e.g. “software for encryption” can typically also perform decryption), to make the encrypted information readable again (i.e. to make it unencrypted).
Encryption has long been used by militaries and governments to facilitate secret communication. Encryption is now commonly used in protecting information within many kinds of civilian systems. For example, the Computer Security Institute reported that in 2007, 71% of companies surveyed utilized encryption for some of their data in transit, and 53% utilized encryption for some of their data in storage.[1] Encryption can be used to protect data “at rest”, such as files on computers and storage devices (e.g. USB flash drives). In recent years there have been numerous reports of confidential data such as customers’ personal records being exposed through loss or theft of laptops or backup drives. Encrypting such files at rest helps protect them should physical security measures fail. Digital rights management systems which prevent unauthorized use or reproduction of copyrighted material and protect software against reverse engineering (see also copy protection) are another somewhat different example of using encryption on data at rest.
Encryption is also used to protect data in transit, for example data being transferred via networks (e.g. the Internet, e-commerce), mobile telephones, wireless microphones, wireless intercom systems, Bluetooth devices and bank automatic teller machines. There have been numerous reports of data in transit being intercepted in recent years.[2] Encrypting data in transit also helps to secure it as it is often difficult to physically secure all access to networks.
Encryption, by itself, can protect the confidentiality of messages, but other techniques are still needed to protect the integrity and authenticity of a message; for example, verification of a message authentication code (MAC) or a digital signature. Standards and cryptographic software and hardware to perform encryption are widely available, but successfully using encryption to ensure security may be a challenging problem. A single slip-up in system design or execution can allow successful attacks. Sometimes an adversary can obtain unencrypted information without directly undoing the encryption. See, e.g., traffic analysis, TEMPEST, or Trojan horse.
One of the earliest public key encryption applications was called Pretty Good Privacy (PGP). It was written in 1991 by Phil Zimmermann and was purchased by Network Associates (now PGP Corporation) in 1997.
There are a number of reasons why an encryption product may not be suitable in all cases. First, e-mail must be digitally signed at the point it was created to provide non-repudiation for some legal purposes, otherwise the sender could argue that it was tampered with after it left their computer but before it was encrypted at a gateway. An encryption product may also not be practical when mobile users need to send e-mail from outside the corporate network.
Locked means:
locked means to block unauthorized user to access your data or account

The web host is the service that runs the computer that has your web site on it. The name of your web site (such as yahoo.com) is the domain. The web hosting site will create a domain for you, but that hosting site may have hundreds or thousands of domains running for its one hosting site. They will be the people who give you the “.com” you will need to access the page.

Nope, not easily done on regular Windows.
You may be able to control which link to use with an external Linux firewall (free), which can use two ISP feeds, and control what kind of traffic uses which line (http port 80 on one line, P2P on another). That way, a single PC can use both lines, depending on what is being run. This logic could apply to more than one PC at the same time as well.
Higher end firewalls like ClearOS or Endian (or Vyatta or Astaro) should be able to do this (you would have to confirm). However, you need a spare PC and some know-how on how to do this. Each of these vendors has support forums. Look for the “Community” versions if you are interested…
Remember, using two ISP feeds will only give the highest speed of the two, you cannot combine the speeds to get a higher rate. However, these firewalls also allow automatic fail-over, should one line go out – your internet stays running…

From the case study below, why there is a significant gap between what people say and what they do when it com?
Question by MUS Q: From the case study below, why there is a significant gap between what people say and what they do when it com?
Almost 90% of UK internet users are prepared to give away private data despite 84% of the same users claiming to be very guarded about online privacy.
While conducting research about targeted behavioural advertising, online content and advertising company AOL found that most of the 1,000 online consumers it surveyed claimed to be very conscious about their privacy and claimed to guard carefully their personal details.
It found that 84% of those people said that they would not give away income details online but then found that 89% of the those surveyed were willing to do exactly that.
“Our research identified a significant gap between what people say and what they do when it comes to protecting sensitive information online,” said Jules Polonetsky, AOL’s chief privacy officer
The survey asked participants a series of questions about their attitudes to privacy and, according to an AOL spokesman, also asked them to indicate which of a choice of income brackets they fitted into. It found that 87.3% of those who had said they guarded income details actually gave them away, the spokesman said.
The survey discovered that the message that users should protect their privacy is getting through, though. While 34% of people expected to experience credit card fraud, just 11% had actually experienced it.
AOL said that its research found that the more that people understood about the risks of online privacy violations, the less concerned they were about them.
AOL commissioned the research from consultancy Promise as part of its campaign to raise awareness of the privacy implications of targeted behavioural advertising, the practice of monitoring a person’s internet use and sending them adverts the company believes are relevant to them.
Behavioural advertising has attracted adverse publicity in some cases from privacy activists and regulators worried about the monitoring of users’ behaviour. Such monitoring is not illegal if it is done with the user’s consent and permission.
A company called Phorm ran into trouble earlier this year when internet service provider (ISP) customers reacted angrily to suggestions that their ISPs were about to install Phorm’s traffic-monitoring system to better help websites to deliver adverts related to people’s surfing.
Polonetsky recognised that there were risks attached to behavioural advertising.
“Personalising content and delivering relevant advertising online will only succeed for consumers and for advertisers if it is done in a trustworthy and transparent manner,” he said. “In addition, business and government will need to offer approaches that recognise that at certain times personalisation and data use will be welcomed, and in other cases, users will demand limits on the use of their data.”
AOL’s research was presented at a seminar at the House of Commons last month, where the Information Commissioner Richard Thomas, the UK’s privacy regulator, spoke.
He said that companies had to make sure they followed simple, clear guildelines, or risked losing their customers.
“By taking a practical, down-to-earth approach to data protection and privacy, we can simplify good practice for the majority of organisations who seek to handle personal information well,” said Thomas. “If organisations fail to meet their data protection obligations they not only risk enforcement action by the ICO, they also risk losing the trust of their customers.”
AOL used to be an internet service provider but is now a content and advertising business. Like other online advertising companies it carries out behaviourally-targetted advertising by using cookies to see what sites a visitor has previously viewed and serving ads it believes are relevant to that person.

It all comes down to internet knowledge.
Many people, while thinking they’re being safe, really aren’t. They have no idea what SAFE means. Perhaps they don’t give out their credit card numbers, or don’t type in a lot of personal information, but that’s just the beginning of it. There are so many ways to give out personal information, or worse yet, have it stolen from you, that the average Joe Internet User has no idea what he’s doing.

trafficking software is probably just a bunch of maps. GPS however, like Garmin, can locate you if you are completely lost.
maps are fine as long as you know your current location…
