I have a small house network like and I need to monitor the traffic usage of it. I’m trying a software which requires a switch with port mirroring, i.e. managed switch. But I don’t want to invest too much so I come here for help. Any affordable switch can you suggest? Thanks.

I really can get what you want to accomplish but I’ve got two good choices for you. You can go for a second hand Cisco Catalyst 2950 on ebay or you can also go for a brand new Cisco Small Business SF300-08 managed switch. Both of them are cheap for a managed switch.
